CANADA VISA FOR IRELAND CITIZENS
Irish residents are eligible to apply for an eTA through an online application. In 2016, the Canadian government launched the eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization), an online multi-entry visa exemption system permitting qualifying individuals to visit Canada for a maximum of six months. In order to simplify the process of getting a visa waiver, Canada introduced the Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization, commonly referred to as the Canadian eTA or Canadian Tourist Visa Waiver. Irish individuals are required to request a Canada eTA visa in order to visit Canada for purposes such as travel, business, transit, or medical care. To enter Canada, all Irish passport holders are required by law to have a Canadian visa or visa waiver. Irish citizens can use the same approved eTA to enter Canada without a visa for 5 years or until the passport expires. The Canadian eTA from Ireland can only be applied for online to obtain an electronic visa waiver electronically linked to that of the traveler passport, eliminating the need to apply for a visa in person at an embassy or consulate.

CANADA VISA FOR MALTA CITIZENS
Citizens of Malta, as with all other European Union citizens, are not required to have a visa to travel to Canada. Simply applying for a Canadian ETA is all they need to do. An ETA is a digital travel permit that enables nationals from specific countries to travel to Canada without needing a consulate visa. In 2015, Canada introduced the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) system, which enables qualified individuals to enter the country by completing a basic online form before traveling. Maltese individuals are required to request a Canadian eTA visa in order to visit Canada for short-term reasons such as tourism, business, transit, or medical visits. With your Canadian ETA, you are allowed to remain for 180 days each time you enter. This document expires 5 years after it is issued or until the passport expires. If you are from Malta and apply for an ETA, you will be granted multiple entry. In other words, you can visit this country many times within five years. Once accepted, the eTA is electronically connected to the traveler’s passport. Travellers who want to visit Canada for other reasons, such as studying or working, can contact the nearest Canada Embassy or Consulate for more information. The full application process can be completed in 20 minutes.
